Question
Why do I get an error message?
Answer
If you are getting a cookie error message there are a number of factors that may be causing this
A) Ensure that cookies are fully enabled on your PC. You can do this by going to the Tools option in your Internet Explorer toolbar; select Internet Options from the drop down menu. This will produce another window. Select the Privacy tab to check whether you have cookies enabled.
B) Ensure that you are accessing the website direct through the correct address. By logging in though the home page the authentication cookie gets set at the correct point and is then checked at every page visited thereafter, so if you try to access a page directly then it is likely that the user will get an error
C) As the Temporary Internet Files folder approaches the set size then older pages are discarded to allow new pages to be loaded. The other point to make is that if this folder is too large then there could be multiple pages with the same name, this sometimes happens when the apology page goes up and the user then is unable to access Jobsite when the problem is resolved, clearing the temporary internet folder sometimes rectifies this or they would have to change a setting to allow the browser to look for newer pages.
D) To clear the temporary internet files first select the Tools option in your Internet Explorer toolbar, select Internet Options from the drop down menu. This will produce a new window in which you have options to Delete Cookies and Delete Temporary Files. Please note that if these are very full the delete could take 10-15 minutes.
Once you have deleted the Temporary internet files a page refresh might be required
